We had a fantastic Craven Meeting here in Newmarket last week in the end thanks to PELLITORY, the 25/1 outsider of the field, taking the conditions race on the Thursday in good style under Harry Davies. We have proved time and time again over the last 12 years that, if followed correctly, we will continue to a turn a profit most months (and every single year since the service was formed).

Below I’ve included three horses from the past week or so that are well worth putting in your trackers. All three are expected to progress over the coming weeks and take some beating:
SEREN STAR (William Haggas) – Seren Star should be winning next time. She was having her first career start for William Haggas in what was another decent maiden, with the first three pulling a long way clear of the 72-rated Elizabeth Bay. She conceded first run to the eventual 1st and 2nd and was then outpaced slightly as the pace quickened. Her finishing effort is worth noting, clocking the quickest final furlong and she’s one to keep firmly on side.
ARCHIVIST (William Haggas) – Another from the Haggas stable to have caught the eye, this filly was having her first outing for connections since leaving the recently retired Stoute yard. She would undoubtedly have gone very close, if not have won if getting a clear run earlier and is one to keep an eye out for wherever she goes next. She’s more than capable of picking up a similar novice, but connections do feel she’s well ahead of her mark so she’ll be worth backing next whether she goes down the novice or handicap route.
CHARGING THUNDER (James Owen) – We’ve had some brilliant winners out of the James Owen yard, not least Pellitory at 25/1 and also this chap who landed a massive punt for us two starts back when backed from 6/1 into 13/8 and he surely would have followed up last time if it wasn’t for having to race on his own for much of the race. A 2lb rise is felt to be a manageable one by the yard and he’s one to keep on side wherever he goes next (entered for Sunday at Southwell).
