Another fantastic week on the service as Project Mars (9/4), Those Tiger Feet (9/4) and Lydford (11/4 into 7/4) round off yet another week that see’s us finish ahead as we continue to add to what has been an excellent month so far on the main service following on from a brilliant September and October.

There are three horses over the course of the week that are notebook worthy and look sure to go in sooner rather than later.

South Mountain (Ben Pauling) – The Ben Pauling stable have had a slow start to the season, but are slowly starting to spring into life and this four-year old by Westerner is held in extremely high regard by the yard, but it was clear, like with most of their newcomers this season, he was in need of the run. Having been keen throughout, he traded as short as 2/1 in running before fading out of contention in the closing stages. It’s likely he will make up into a far better hurdler in time, but on the basis of his homework alone he is worth keeping on side wherever he goes next, be that in a bumper or over the hurdles.

Induno (David Pipe) – The subject of very good support on Day 1 of the November Meeting at Cheltenham this six-year old was simply too fresh on re-appearance following a near year long absence to land a telling blow. His form prior to that however suggests that a hurdles mark of 115 is a very lenient one and given he seemed stretched by the 2m5f trip that day at Cheltenham it would be of no surprise to see him a major force wherever he goes next with a run now under his belt once dropped back down in trip.

Marta Boy (Jane Chapple-Hyam) – This horse caught the eye on his penultimate start in a 0-60 at Kempton when trading as short as 1.13 in the run. He looked to have had the race sown up at the furlong pole, but having wandered in the closing stages it was only in the final 100 yards he was collared into 3rd. He was then back out just 9 days later in a 0-60 at Wolverhampton, but this time over 7f which seemed to stretch him under a quick turnaround. Once returned to 6f in a similar sort of contest he will be of major interest if Adam Kirby is kept on board.
