A good start to the new month following on from an excellent May (+39% ROI) as we kicked off the Epsom Derby Festival/June in good style courtesy of Royal Champion who bolted up at a whopping 14/1! More top information via the Varian yard with plenty more to come over the next week or two including a potential maximum selection!

There have been three horses this week that have caught the eye in a serious way – all are well worth putting in your trackers for future engagements:
RAZZAM (Roger Varian): This colt by Showcasing has been showing up well with winners at home and having been well supported from 9/2 into 5/2 near the off, he shaped with considerable promise. Beaten just over 2.5L into 3rd he missed at least as much ground, if not a fair bit more, at the start with a slow break. He’ll be much sharper second time out is well worth keeping on side.
SELF PRAISE (Hugo Palmer): This colt has always been well regarded by the yard and having shaped well in defeat at Chester he was arguably unfortunate not to have won at Epsom over the Bank Holiday weekend as he was slow away but made up a huge amount of ground from off the pace for each way returns. He looks sure to benefit from another step up in trip based on that run and is a horse to be on again in the near future once stepped up in trip to 7f.
SWINGALONG (Karl Burke): The Karl Burke have plenty of class among their juveniles this season, in particular this filly by Showcasing. She was no match for the winner that day, but she’s a very well regarded type and is expected to get off the mark sooner rather than later.
